Clear Blue Sky

For Clear Blue Sky, I sent five disposable cameras into the world. Each recipient was invited to photograph a clear blue sky, then pass the camera on to someone else. After 25 photographs, the camera was meant to return to me.

The idea was simple: we all live under the same sky. A shared space beyond borders, ownership and permission. I wanted to bring those skies together in one large image.

Only one camera returned. A failed project? Perhaps. But making art also means letting go of the outcome. Sometimes you send an idea into the world and discover how little of its journey you can control.
