I’m Erik van der Spek, an artist based in Zwolle, the Netherlands.

Through installations and performance, I explore borders, belonging and the search for meaning.

Flags, everyday objects and shared spaces become ways to ask questions about how we live together.

This portfolio is a place for my work, stories and ideas in progress.

An invitation to pause, get curious and see familiar things differently.

Want to make something happen together?

Invite me to draw a border, take my giant red ball for a walk or create something entirely new with your community, organisation or festival.

You don’t need a finished plan. A question, a place or a spark of curiosity is enough to start a conversation.

Let’s explore your idea and get meaning in motion.
